The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party
Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot including angels, demons, and malevolent powers growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.
The Soldiers Table Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
Hence, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to auction.
The traitor then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants revenge.
- Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- The warrior and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as key figures in the influential clan could enable the group enter places they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The warrior and Wicander betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.
Upcoming Developments
From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the participants to assemble the Questers and Strategists parties.
Viewers can expect discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
