I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
